MetalCloak's HD Knurled Baller Joints are built for worn or oversized axle C bores where a standard ball joint can no longer hold a proper press fit. The precision knurled housing bites into the bore during installation and restores secure retention without replacing the axle housing.

Built From Better Material

Each joint starts with a chromoly spindle and ball with an induction hardened surface that resists wear and spreads force across a maximized bearing area. Chromoly absorbs impact energy without fracturing, something lesser materials cannot match.

Knurled Housing for Tired Axles

The precision machined knurl compensates for slightly enlarged or worn ball joint bores, the kind you find on high mileage and hard wheeled axles. The added interference fit reduces movement inside the axle C and improves retention where a smooth housing would walk.

Metal on Metal Strength

Composite bearing sleeves slide over the spindle to absorb shock loads and resist deformation. Both the ball and spindle are load bearing, captured with tool steel races that eliminate memory steer and hold up over the long haul.

Serviceable and Sealed

Upper and lower joints are adjustable for preload tension and use recessed zerk fittings for greasing. Multiple Buna-N O-rings and shaft wiper seals keep grease in and contaminants out. Aluminum lock nuts and threaded top caps capture the joints so there is no chance of pulling a joint out of the C.

Finish

Type III hard anodized black aluminum paired with silver and gold zinc plated steel components. Sealed, captured, adjustable, and rebuildable on the Jeep.
